Mrs. Holt teaches art as well as ceramics. There are several steps involved in making a finished ceramic product. Here are the steps. First you start with a raw lump of clay. Then you mold it into a form, this one was done on a wheel. The form is then glazed, with a special type of mineral based paint that melts in the kiln.>

the glazed form is now fired in the kiln for a second time. The glaze melts and bonds to the form, giving you a finished product.>
