Please note:  Durham High School has minimum days scheduled for finals June 1st-3rd.

 Durham Elementary and Durham Intermediate will have a normal full day schedules on June 1st & 2nd.  Our last day of school, June 3rd is a minimum day for all school sites.

 

DES School Site Council would like to welcome Kristen Cargile as the newest parent representative.  Returning parent members are:  Shawna Jones, Michael McCrady, and Patrick Riley.  Returning teacher representatives are:  Ramie Pisenti and Cyndi Haapanen.  The staff will elect two new members to serve on the committee in August.  Thank you to outgoing members Todd Perkins, Donica O'Laughlin, and Dina Barlow for taking the time to serve on School Site Council.

 

Come on down & 'FIND IT' Tuesday morning in the DES Multi-purpose Room.  There is an abundance of clothing, hats, lunchboxes, etc. that have been left on campus.  We will have these items on display in the Multi-Purpose Room Tuesday, June 1st from 9:00am-11:00am.  Teachers will have students look through the items to claim what is theirs, but parents are also welcome to come down to identify their child's property.  Any items left on campus after June 3rd will be donated to a local charity.

 

Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Learning Academy.  Information was sent home with students last week.  If you are interested in the program, please fill out the form and return it to Durham Elementary School ASAP.  

 

The first day of school for the 2010-2011 school year will be August 18, 2010

Winter Break will be December 23, 2010-January 7, 2011

Spring Break will be April 18-25, 2011

We hope these dates will help you with planning your vacations throughout the year.  Remember, student attendance in school is important!  Please make every effort to plan your vacations to align with our scheduled breaks.  Thank you!
