PTS is our Parent/Teacher/Student organization. In cooperation with staff and students, PTS organizes school-wide events and fundraisers to enhance the educational experience of every student at Durham Elementary School (DES). Anyone with children attending DES is encouraged to join.
PTS meets monthly on the third Wednesday of every month. We will be alternating our meetings this year between 7:45am and 6:30pm to try and accommodate everyone's schedule. All meetings will be in the DES cafeteria unless otherwise noted.
If you missed the morning coffee on the first day of school, please refer to the PTS bulletin board, next to the Courtyard doors, for information. We will also have membership forms and event sign-up sheets available on Back to School Night, Thursday, August 27th.
PTS is a great way to be involved with your child's school. Check out the PTS Board, watch for e-mail updates and look for PTS information in the Greensheet Newsletter. We welcome new people and new ideas. In fact, fresh ideas and talents are essential to the future of the organization. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail.

December 7-11, 2009 - This is a great chance to pick up a few books for Christmas gifts while supporting our library.
Christmas Boutique:
December 17, 2009 - The students love this opportunity to "secretly" purchase gifts for their families at a very affordable price. Items are made and donated by our wonderful community. If you have gently used items or crafts you would like to donate, please bring them to the Elementary School office, so they may be priced and sorted. Thank you for your support!
Math-a-Thon:
January 27, 2009 - Our 100th Day of School! This is a fund raiser for Durham Elementary School.
