All students were eligible to participate in this years read-a-thon. A total of 297 students earned gold medals by completing 12 of the 15 assignments. 75 students completed all 15 assignments to earn extra prizes. Their names were entered into a drawing for a gift certificate for Lyon Books. Students also judged a bookmark contest, with entries from our students.

they can qualify for other fun prizes. Forms are due back to the library on or before April

in an old item to the library that you donÕt want or use anymore. Be prepared to share this item during
your regular library time. For
this item to be in the DES ReadersÕ Museum you must give an explanation of how
the item relates to a book or character.
For example, Miss Patti has an old paintbrush. She says it was the one Tom Sawyer used
when he was white washing the fence.
Mrs. Abold has an old apron.
She says it is the one Old Mother Hubbard wore. Be
creative with your items and explanations. Items that you bring in will go on display in our ReadersÕ
