Our Student Leadership Council assists with ideas for making Durham Elementary School a great learning environment. Students plan fun activities like rallies and assemblies. Student Council also helps our school recognize outstanding student behavior and attendance.
Mrs. Hardesty is our Student Leadership Advisor for the 2011-2012 school year.

One of the main fund raisers for student council is collecting Box Tops for Education. Each classroom can earn money for their class or student leadership by turning in the coupons from General Mills products. Each coupon is worth 10¢.

Math-a-thon is a schoolwide fundraising event that supports our student council's many activities and events, including assemblies and field trips. Held on the 100th day of school, this year's Math-a-thon will take place on January 27th.
