Jog A ThonTop Top of Page
The 22nd Annual Jog A Thon was held on October 7th!  It was a beautiful day for students to race to raise money for our school.   This year we had 100% participation by our students!  Even a few faculty members slipped on their tennis shoes and ran some laps.  All totalled our students jogged 9,288 laps.  Then, students, staff, and parent volunteers were treated to a BBQ lunch!

Students who collected pledges and turned them in by the October 21st deadline qualified for great prizes to be given away at our wrap up assembly on October 26th.  Prizes were awarded to the top 8 money earners.  A Grand Prize winner of a Cruiser Bicycle was randomlly selected from each student that turned in pledges, regardless of how much they turned in.  Each of these students also had their name in the drawing for many other fabulous prizes ranging from iTunes gift cards, t-shirts, backpacks, and even a DVD player.

All proceeds from the Jog A Thon go toward student activities, field trips, recess equipment and assemblies.  Our goal this year was to raise more money than last year's $13,000.  Well, WE DID IT!  Our fabulous students brought in over $14,000! WOW!

Thank you to the students, their family members and Durham community that supported this fundraiser!

Fund RaisingTop Top of Page
There are many ways parents can fundraise to support Durham Intermediate School that don't involve writing a check to the school.

eScrip is a great way to support our school.  If you go to www.eScrip.com and sign up to be a supporter of Durham Intermediate School and register your Safeway card, Durham Intermediate will receive a percentage of all purchases you make at that store.
The Group ID# for Durham Intermediate is:  9243282

Another way to help our school raise money is by clipping Box Tops for EducationFor each box top you send in, our school can earn 10 cents.  It doesn't seem like alot, but if each student brought in 10 box tops that would mean $250 for our school.  Feel free to collect and turn them in to the DIS office at your convenience.

We are also collecting Campbell's Soup Label points!  Another chance to clip and save so our school can earn recess equipment, technology equipment, or other school supplies.  Labels for Education has many products to clip and save.  Click here for a list of qualifying Labels for Education products.

For each purchase you make at Office Depot, make sure you ask at the register that Durham Intermediate School gets credit.  We will receive 5% from your purchases if you designate our school to receive them.

Durham Intermediate School does not advocate signing up for credit cards.  However if you do, many stores will give our school a percentage of your purchase, such as Target Rewards.
Ask your local retailers for details on how to give credit to Durham Intermediate School.

Thank you for considering these important fund raisers for our school!
