Mrs. Emily Abshier has been recognized as our DHS certificated staff of the year. Mrs. Abshier is absolutely brilliant! Every student who has Mrs. Abshier raves about what an amazing math teacher she is. She makes concepts easy to understand, manages her classroom well, and stands firm to the rules. She is respected by her students and the DHS staff. She is the "go-to" person for all teaching staff when it comes to Aeries and MAP testing administration. She trains, troubleshoots, and anticipates action items needed in order to prepare for the next grading cycle. She offers wonderful best practices and ideas for improvement. Emily Abshier is a phenomenal teacher, and she serves as the lead advisor for the Junior Class. She does a great job with this additional role and does it all with a smile !!
