PUBLIC NOTICE OF VACANCY AND APPOINTMENT TO THE DURHAM UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to Sections 1008, 5326, 5328, and 5328.5 of the California Education Code that due to two Trustee vacancies in the Durham Unified School District and insufficient nominees for the November 3, 2026 elections, the Board will make two provisional appointments.
Any legally qualified citizen of the Durham Unified School District who is interested in serving on the Durham Unified School District Board of Trustees may contact Chloe Bartel at (530) 895-4675, 5001 or cbartel@durhamunified.org to obtain the required information.
To be considered, interested persons must submit a completed Candidate Application Form to Chloe Bartel no later than Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 5 pm at the Durham Unified School District office. After the submission deadline, interviews of qualified candidates will take place. The location and time of interviews is to be determined.
The appointed trustee will be seated on the board during the Dec. 9 Organizational Board of Trustees meeting.
